July 3rd, 1973

Spent the day with Pam shopping, cooking, going to Roxborough to pick up some things donated by the Roxborough Presbyterian Church.

I love Pam. She's a beautiful girl physically. expresses and effervesces throughout the day. She's a fussy little housekeeper and decorator. It seems like she never has withdrawn moods. She was brought up in the Presbyterian church, and tradition and custom is important to her.

Barb, Pam, and I taught at 23rd and Diamond tonight. Crystal and Barb have done a good job teaching those older girls in Bible Club and VBS. They really understand what they must do to be saved. One little girl wanted to know who "began God,” and I got into the Trinity and the Incarnation also heavy questions!

Florence, our next door (across the street, actually) neighbor, whose brother is Joey, the pusher I told you about, called us at 10:15 and wanted us to take her to Penn Fruit so she could get some food in the house. She'd just got home from work. So Larry and I took her.

Florence is white. She's in her twenties. She married a black guy who recently died of alcoholism. She's living with another black guy now. She has a cute, but ornery little six year old son, Mark, who has the chicken pox right now.

Well, I'm tired so.
