I'm really frustrated with the older 10th and Thompson girls. When I talk with them casually, we have good rapport. Karen, Connie, and someone else came in today. They don't know how to act. I've told them lots of times I'd have a Bible study for them. June got four fish today. That’s a game I play in my Bible Clubs that I got from Yeddo Baptist Church back home. They used to play it with the little kids during the Sunday evening service. Either that game or “sword drills.” You write certain questions about the Bible on fish shapes cut out of construction paper. When a kid answers a question correctly, he gets the fish. It’s based on that scripture where Jesus says, “I will make you fishers of men.”

We got a phone call from two Christian brothers who need a place to stay for a few nights Jim and Bill. They're in Philly starting a Christian House for people passing through. They work with a group call Shiloh, which has houses in cities across the country. It started with one city in Southern California, then moved to Oregon and now has farms and houses all over. About 1,000 people are involved! They do mostly street work, Bible studies, and provide overnight accommodations to people passing through. The ministry is supported by donations, but each staff member works a job to meet his own financial needs.

While we were fellowshipping tonight at supper, the fact that we could depend on the Lord for small things came up.

Annie mentioned how the Lord had given her back some keys she'd lost. Something like that happened to me today. I couldn't find my Bible study record sheet. I looked everywhere upstairs, downstairs, through my desk, in the wastebasket, under chairs. I had to be at a Bible club shortly and I didn't know what to get together. I sat down to eat lunch, worrying about it and as I asked grace, I asked the Lord where the paper was. As I bit into my cheese sandwich, the thought popped into my head, "Look where you keep your tutoring records." I got right up and sure enough there it was! I sat back down, pleased, and was starting my second sandwich when it hit me God had answered my prayer!

Annie and Bill can both play the guitar and sing really well. They played from about 7:30 to 10:20 tonight downstairs while the center was open. It drew in quite a few kids!
