Browse Second Looks Virtual Showroom/19th Century Cobalt Shear Top Ink Bottle, $15.00

Previous owner says, "Here is a great old ink bottle from the 1800s. Made of pale cobalt blue glass and showing the rough surface caused by a wooden mold. The neck has stretch marks and the typical rough top made by breaking the bottle off from the blowers pipe. The bottle is about 1 3/4" square and 1 7/8" high.It is in good condition with no damage.I have occasionally had people buy one of this type of bottle then complain about the rough chipped surface at the top of the neck. This however was how these bottles were made and the neck was sealed with a cork. There are always small chips around the top.A great collectible ink bottle."
